So I have a confession to make - I spend quite a lot of my time around golf courses, but I've never actually played a round of golf.
Let me explain.
First of all, I walk regularly on a chip trail around a golf course near my house. It's a lovely walk and I enjoy it immensely.
But recently I've visited another golf course, and it is truly a sight to behold. Beautiful Olympic View Golf Club is located about 30 minutes outside of Victoria's downtown core. It has been rated in the Top 10 Best Public Golf Facilities in British Columbia by ScoreGolf Magazine, and has ranked within the top 50 Golf Courses in Canada. With it's dazzling views of Washington State's Olympic Mountains, combined with it's beautiful course incorporating some very impressive natural elements (such as a waterfall and gorgeous Arbutus trees), this course is sure to thrill both visitors and locals who enjoy golfing year-round.
It was at this stunning backdrop where the April Victoria Women of Weddings event was held.
Along with myself and Olympic View, the other multi-talented sponsors included Brown's The Florist, Details Special Event Planning and Decor, and Fetching Image Photography (who made a video of the event). The guest speaker was Stacey Mitchell of Directis Consulting who spoke to us about goal setting and achievement.
All in all, it was an inspiring and thought-provoking day... with a fun and memorable golf cart tour of the grounds for the 40+ members in attendance!
