I had the opportunity this summer to photograph a wedding with a friend, mentor, and someone I greatly admire, Jen Steele. She was the primary photographer and invited me to second shoot this lovely wedding for her clients, J + L, at the Royal Colwood Golf Club. The bride and groom looked gorgeous, as did the beautiful decor by Designer Weddings. I photographed the groom and groomsmen getting ready, as well as some candids and formals of the guests during the cocktail hour while Jen was photographing the bridal party. The bride's father made what was perhaps the most beautiful speech I have ever heard at a wedding (with some amazing props and visual aids to illustrate his points), the bride's brothers made a great slideshow featuring both the bride and the groom and their life together that had us all alternating between laughter and tears, and the happiness that day was palpable. What a beautiful wedding! Congrats J + L! I was so happy to be a part of your special day.
