Family Session with a friend from PEI | Victoria BC family photography

I had the opportunity to photograph a long-time friend from Prince Edward Island and her beautiful growing family on Friday afternoon in Victoria.

M & I were friends and roommates in our teens/and early twenties.  In our mid- to late-twenties, we both did quite a bit of moving around and lost touch.  But, being Island girls (albeit a different one) we've both made Victoria our home, where we have reconnected in the past few years.

We had planned our session for Cattle Point, but at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the rain came pouring down.  I have to say there was a lot of hoping, praying, wishing and finger-crossing going on between the two of us that the weather would cooperate.  We decided to meet downtown instead at the Parkside Hotel, and as soon as I parked my car the rain stopped!!  We agreed to dash into the grounds of St. Ann's Academy while there was no rain so we could at least get a few outdoor shoots... but the rain held off!  We made it all the way into Beacon Hill Park and got SO MANY great shots in an hour that it's hard to pick a favourite.  Here are a few contenders so far.

Big shout out to the uber-talented @r_o_b_s_o_n for assisting me on Friday!  You're the best!

If you'd like to book a family session, I have a promotion on right now - I'm offering all my sessions at last year's pricing.  $250+PST for 10 edited, digital images printable to 8x10, plus a 12x18 print of your favourite shot.  It's a steal of a deal!  Contact me at to book your spot.

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you're enjoying the weekend! :)
