"Macro" aka "An Homage To My Christmas Tree"
Confession #1: I'm feeling a wee bit nostalgic about my Christmas tree. Yes, it's still in my house. And I'll be sad to see it go. Yes, I'm that person who keeps their tree up just a little too long. Say what you will. I think it's my favourite part of the season (well, that and all the eating and spending time with people I care about). I love the lights. And I still have my family decorations from when I was a kid, plus a few I've gathered along the way.
Confession #2: I don't exactly have a macro lens, so I had to improvise.
Confession #3: Today I am not disciplined enough for one photo so I'm adding 2, and they're BOTH of ornaments. The first one is from the Ten Thousand Villages store (one of my favourite places). The second is from the mother of a dear friend who has invited me over for Christmas dinner the last 2 Christmases in a row (two of the most delicious meals, I've ever eaten, btw). You rock, Gill! Thanks for the spaceship! I will treasure it forever.
Confession #4: The tree's coming down this weekend. Sigh.
